We finally synched our schedules with the weather and were able to put our dock in the lake last night. It feels so great to be interacting with open water again! Now we just need a boat and some sunshine… I guess I’ll settle for partly cloudy at this point. I don’t think I’m being a Negative Nelly by proclaiming that our Spring weather has made it very difficult to keep your chin up.
Despite the wind, cold, snow and rain, it’s a really busy time of year for us. All the pent up energy from the long winter is unleashed in a really compressed period of time and our time gets stretched pretty thin. More buyers are out and about looking at cabins and homes and more sellers are looking for market evaluations and wanting to list their properties. We also have to re-photograph all the properties that were listed in the winter. The day the ice came off the lakes and the piles of snow became water, we impatiently waited for sunny days to race around and reshoot. All-in-all, it’s a pretty exciting time though! The open lakes, the singing frogs, the return of the birds and water fowl and the longer days make it hard to wipe the smile off your face. Hoorah!
