I’m so tired of talking about the weather! Enough already! It looks like Summer is making a fashionably late entrance and it’s safe to come out and play now – and just in time for the 4th of July! My father inlaw has made jokes for years that he doesn’t put away his long underwear until the 4th of July. I’ll bet money this year he didn’t.
Despite the abysmal weather, we’ve been quite busy listing and selling properties during the last month. (As noted in my inability to post blog updates!) It’s been a good flurry of activity and we hope it continues. I’ve been asked “what’s selling?” and the answer is all categories and all price ranges. There isn’t any magic to it. The properties that are well cared for, neat, clean and priced well are selling. A common response to that is “I’m not going to give my property away.” I can understand that feeling. After watching property prices soar starting a decade ago and then decline a few years ago, it’s a tough pill to swallow when there was a day that properties sold for 30% higher than today. But that’s yesterday and today is today. (I used to be in my 30’s too. It’s so over!) And so we find good things to enjoy about the present and work with our new reality.
You’ll find some “good things” to do on our Facebook Page. Search for us under CENTURY 21 Sand County Services, Inc. Take a look at the Events we’ve posted to see some of the fun things happening in the area to celebrate the independence of our mighty country and the people who make it strong. Have a safe and happy July 4th.
