Many people in the area tap maple trees for sap in the Spring – to make maple syrup, either for fun or extra income. We were able to capture this eye catching scene of a setup near Spirit Lake.
However, this year, things haven’t panned out so well in collecting the sap.
In order for the sap to flow, we need temperatures at night to be cold and then warm during the day. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had a different agenda.
There’s always next year! In the meantime, cherish your syrup!
